A. Rules

The follow rules | guidelines have been put in place for gamers wanting to take part in the GOW2t. Participants are responsible for reading and complying with any and all of the below rules | guidelines. Any violation in part, or in full will be grounds for dismissal from the tournament at any given time, including but not limited to before, during or after the tournament, which additionally may include denial of prizes (should there be any). The rules in all or in part up are at the total discretion of the tournament host ebstone [aka RedRumSkippy]

1. This tournament is for the Gears Of War 2 video game for the Xbox 360 gaming console. All participants are required to have and Xbox Live Gold Membership, the Gears of War 2 game, and ALL download content for Gears Of War 2

2. All registered participants must be 14 years or older

3. The tournament will take place starting on Friday October 23rd 2009 at 9pm est to 12pm est. It will continue on Saturday October 24th, 9pm till 12am est if there is more than 9 registered participants. Final rounds will be on held Sunday October 25th 2009 starting at 9pm est

3a. If there are more then 9 registered gamers for the tournament, the practice session scheduled for Saturday night, October 24th, will be replaced with another session of players. Both first night and second night session players will be combined to form the top 8 players. Session seatings, should there be more than 9 participants, will be determined on a first to register basis. Gamers who participate in the first nights session, may play in the second session if there is room within that session. Point totals for the second nights, should there be one, will only count for those gamers who did not participate in the first nights competition.

4. All participants are required to register for the tournament with a valid email address. Registration begins 12am on 9.25.09 and ends 10.17.09 at 12am. Any registration not submitted within this time frame will be discarded. Participants must fill out, in full, the provided registration form and agree to its contents. Participants failing to do so will not be able to join the tournament.

* Tournament registration has been extended till Tuesday 10.20 at 12 midnight

5. Points will be awarded for each round as follows. The player who scores the overall highest points for each round will be awarded those points. In order for those points to count towards their overall score total for the tournament, his or her team must also win that round. Players scoring the highest points in any given round, and if their team fails to win that round, will NOT be awarded those points.

5a.Rounds will run from the start time each night and end at the specified time. If a round is in the process of being played, that round will finish and then end the night.

6. The top 8 players at the end of the first and or second nights (Friday & possibly Saturday) of competition will go on to the final round on the final night (Sunday). Score totals are reset to zero and the player with the highest score at the end of the final night (Sunday) will be the winner of the tournament.

7. The host of the tournament : ebstone (aka RedRumSkippy), is not permitted to win the tournament. He may participate in the tournament, but may not win the overall competition. If at the end of the competition, he has a total score that exceeds all other players, the competitor with the second highest score total will be award the winner of the tournament.

8. Gamers who wish to be included in the top 8 positions going into the second night MUST play one of the two opening rounds. Once the first nights of competition ends, before the final night, the tournament is closed to anyone new. The final night of competition will consist of players who played in one of the two previous nights should there be 9 or more registered players, which in turn would make two opening sessions.

9. Anyone making it into the top 8 MUST be present and ready to play at the start of the final night of competition. If for some reason, any of the top 8 players fail to show up or cannot participate in the final night, the player who has the 9th highest score will be permitted to play for the championship. This order of participation continues till there are 8 total players in final night, which will be the championship round.

10. On the final night, 8 top players will play in the final rounds, with the host, ebstone (aka RedRumSkippy) and 1 bot player, making it two teams of 5 for the final night of competition.

11. All rounds of the competition will be played on / with the maps, weapons and modes that were voted on during the registration process.

11a. The following setting will be present in all rounds, and the finals of the tournament. Friendly fire will be set to on. Bleed out time is set to 5 seconds.

12. Glitching is forbidden. Anyone who engages in this practice of gaming will be eliminated from the point that the situation occurs, and for the remainder of the competition.

13. Prizes, that will be revealed after registration is closed, are subject to change without notice.

14. All above statements are subject to change without notice. It is the participants sole responsibility to be aware and understand the guidelines | rules.
